He Changed My Life

It was reported that following the death of computer pioneer Steve Jobs back in 2011, more than one million people from around the world posted tributes to him online.

The common theme was how Jobs had changed their lives. Many expressed the thought that because of him they began to live differently based on his creative innovations; many expressed both their appreciation and their sorrow. The screen of one tablet computer said in large letters: iSad.

When we’ve made Christ the head of our lives, then gratitude fuels our expression, which is exactly what Psalm 107 rings out: “Let the redeemed of the Lord say so, Whom he has redeemed from the hand of the enemy.” V.2 This Psalm is noted as a time when God was seeking to satisfy and deliver longing souls, hungry, thirsty and a distressed people. Many had rebelled against God’s Word, while there were those who were at their wit’s end.

All were rescued by God. “Oh that man would give thanks to the Lord for His goodness and for His wonderful works to the children of men. That verse brings to mind that God saw fit to give His only Son for the likes of me, Bobby C. Ashley; a soul lost in a world of sin and has given me the option of life everlasting. And yes I have accepted it and look forward to it.

We/I can’t keep from praising our Heavenly Father and wanting to tell others how He changed my life! Psalm 107:43 is a reminder for all who embrace this new life. It asks a question: Who is wise? Let him give heed to these things; and consider the loving kindness of the Lord.

Our gratitude to God for our salvation should fuel our witness to others.
